The Communication Flow Process
Organizations should understand what their communication culture and policy is. This cuts across internal (amongst employees) as well as external (clients, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders). The culture forms a model by which departments and new team members can refer to for direction and clarity.
Stereotypes, rumours and quick judgements across teams at the workplace manifests at different levels depending with the nature of communication. The packaging (the ‘how’ of your message delivery) gives off different perceptions and interpretations depending with the context. A great example is communicating news about a pay raise or job promotion to someone who’s lost their job.
